Happy Hour Rollingstone

I’m pleased to say our first official Happy Hour run by ourselves (and with the support of the Done & Dusted crew, Peta and Kirk) was a Rip Roaring success – raising a TOTAL of $435.17 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This may have largely been due to the wonderful ambience of Caroline’s Café Bar at the Rollingstone Beach Caravan Resort. Lets face it, who wouldn’t love chilling by the billabong with a beer or wine and the yummy aroma of sausages and onions sizzling nearby (thanks to Master Chef Rob Mitchell)!!

As Done & Dusted crew members, Peta and Kirk made their way around the tables chatting and mingling, Adventure Mumma’s kids (Josh and Charlie) worked the raffle tickets and merchandise stalls using their cute kid charisma to convince caravanners and campers to buy a sausage, or a teddy, hat, stubby cooler, recipe book (etc etc) and a chance to win a few prizes, all in the name of raising funds for breast cancer research.

Many Thanks to the staff at Rollingstone Beachfront Caravan Resort for providing us with a great spot to hold a Happy Hour and such super support during our stay. We’ve now got some super memories from our few days stay here and are itching to return and explore this region more…..

If you’re planning on spending anytime near Townsville, or heading north to Cairns, don’t forget to pull off the Highway and check out this gem of a place. I guarantee you stunning sunrises and sunsets and a noise (traffic) free zone – unless of course you count the beach curlews calling in the night.
